Every Battle Has Casualties

We are in a battle,
A bitter battle,
Fighting visible foes,
And invisible foes,
Even if we do not see it,
Yet we have to fight it,
In some battles, we end up winning,
For some, we give away the privilege of winning,
And the enemy goes home happy,
As we go home unhappy 😞,
So we count our losses,
And sneer at the crosses,
But wait a minute!
Have we come out defeated yet with more than defeat?

Every battle has casualties,
In every battle, someone or something must die,
So you could be living but dead in specific areas of defeat,
If you fight the enemy on a moral question and lie down flat, discomfited,
Something has died in you and needs urgent resurrection,
If you were fighting disorder and spasmodic tendencies in your life,
If you fail to stick with the routine, just know that something has died and needs the breath of life,
Every battle is fought to death,
And if we don’t win, we are dead, though we may still retain all our senses,
Up to the elusive sixth sense,
Yet we go around dead,
And the next time we meet the same enemy,
We are less potent to the extent of our last defeat,

Woe unto them who dare go to the battlefield where they last met a defeat,
Without being empowered by the all-time undisputed undefeated Champion of Love,
Who has jumped into the arena of every human battle with an everlasting promise to help in the time of need,
Like when you must gather bits and pieces of your last defeat.
