The Second Charge

Today is a special day,
We are starting the second hemisphere of 2025,
How’s the first half been?
Do you remember our First Charge?
Have you been faithful in the application?
Good but tough questions, right?
If you did apply the first charge, I am afraid of you,
If you didn’t I am afraid for you!
But all is not lost,
And as well, you can make your victory conspicuous if you have been on the upward way.

So, while the first half is done,
And the sands of its time run,
The second half is ours,
With many unspent hours.

If you have a penchant for sports,
You know what the second half means,
It is the time to seal or turn victory,
If you have painful failures and loss,
If you have sustained ruin untold,
All is not lost,
We are deciding in the second half,
Whether the result is going to make us happy people or failures,
I know of people who have conceded goals in the first half,
But who with painstaking effort,
Have scored braces and hat tricks in the second half,
But others there be,
Who, puffed up with first-half glory,
Made a total failure in the second half,
All because of unpreparedness and celebrating too soon,
So focus,
We cannot celebrate or lament,
We are busy and sturdy for the second half is yet ours,
The whistle has been blown,
What are you doing in the changing room?
Get back to the pitch,
Defend your victory,
Or, do all that can be done to overturn your loss,
Fruitful second half.
