I’m Going To Write Again!

When I started, this writing business,

It was all about my desire to share my thoughts with whoever has time to read,

Or as providence enabled, serving works of art to those who love creativity,

Or sometimes just sharing my opinions without being limited by interruptions that can re-channel my flow of thoughts,

But isn’t such the plight of everyone who desires to secure a space in the table of penmanship?

However, after almost a decade of cutting from the quarry with the ever-ready Cleaver of Truth,

I am going to write again,

This time round it has less to do with the desire to have people read my thoughts, 

They already know what I stand for,

They can easily map it out and apply it to handle very many circumstances that life brings their way,

So I don’t write only to share the faith I live by, 

But I’m going to write again,

Because somebody I have never seen told me that they find answers to life questions on my page,

I am going to write again, because when I don’t publish, I receive calls from the stakeholders, 

They who have acquired the audacity to ask, “Where is today’s paper?”

I am going to write again, because of those people I don’t know who keep reading and recommending The Cleaver,

I am going to write again, because I owe somebody I don’t know something,

I am going to write again because I bump into new issues every time I walk and work,

I am going to write again because I am reading a new book and I want to share with you something I got thence,

I am going to write again because one of you asked me to wrap my brain around some topic,

I am going to write again because this is the only way I can fulfill my calling,

And when those days come when I can’t write again, I will reach out for the encores, so we can relive the precious memories, 

As we reach out to the discipline left somewhere in the sands of time, to discipline the current recklessness in the path of forgetfulness and eternal bankruptcy!

So I am going to write again,

So that you and I can get better.
