You are still alive
Currents of your life are cascading nicely
Your mental dipoles are well-aligned
Your life’s compass is pointing the true north
Then you are the one life is looking for,
Life has opportunities,
Life has beautiful things,
Life has sweet things,
And in equal measure,
Life has trouble,
Life has disappointments,
Life has betrayal,
Life has turbulence,
Therefore,
While you are still alive,
Accept and get ready to swing through the pendulum of life,
Don’t join the cocoon of crybabies who blame their friends when life’s realities are ‘boiling nicely’,
How can you accuse anyone of meanness while you have the strength of muscle and bone (the capital of the poor) in abundance? Just go and try again.
We may not offer all you need to live an honourable life, yet we will contribute a million in a day when you need an honourable send-off,
And don’t dare accuse us of misplaced priorities,
We are giving you a chance to have your duel with life,
We have refused to accept that you will be defeated,
We have confidence in you,
We are your cheerleaders,
Go and get them and come to tell us that you have made it,
And when you have something to share with us,
We will not disappoint,
Open your gates and make your dinner table comprehensive to accommodate us all,
To this end, we will only disappoint when we are dead,
And because we love you and believe that you are made of a big heart and barns,
We are inviting our friends to join us for a feast at our brother’s table,
And we will encourage them to edge past temperance just a little because the host has a big heart and big barns.
So, while you are still alive,
Go and try,
Don’t seek for kindness or sympathy,
Create them,
Don’t look for people who care,
Be the person who cares,
Don’t crave a support system,
Stand on your backbone and let them who are weak lean on you,
While you are still alive, get ready to face off with life.
