Don’t Act Surprised!

You are doing the same thing, 

But you have lots of expectations that the result would be different, 

Just the way you did it on the day you failed, 

Why act surprised that the result is the same?

You leave by Train…

Why act surprised that you neither land nor have to deal with jet lag?

You remain in a Canoe headed for the waterfall…

Why act surprised when you dislocate your condyles?

You continue eating the same way that led you to obesity… 

Why act surprised that you are becoming a  beast of burden? 

You keep procrastinating your times of devotion…

Why act surprised when you become a little devil?

And don’t tell us that you are not able to quit that habit… 

You yourself are the sponsor of the resources and tools you need to make it successful… 

See, you have not been caught red-handed all these years, 

Why is it so? 

Because you are in charge and are protecting your well-stood-arounded sin,

You have created a budget for it,  Oh what a Tycoon!

And just in case you think it’s free,  you may realise you’re the price!

If not you,  then you have traded TIME instead,

So don’t act surprised that you have failed again,

I’m sure you didn’t expect different outcomes,

But if you insist that you expected better results, 

While doing the same things you did when your boat capsized, 

Then you’re dull in the brain,

Me and you know who is fooling who,

But as you continue fooling around, 

Don’t act surprised! 

You are not surprised indeed, 

You baked it,  brewed it,  broiled it, 

And now it’s ripe and ready.
