God Has Done His Part! 

God has done His part,
Giving us His only son to die a vicarious death for us,
Whether we accept Him or not is up to us,
But in Him only is life eternal.

God has done His part,
Granting us a Sabbath day for rest and holy convocation,
Whether we accept the rest and partake of its blessings is up to us,
But no blessings are attached to any other option competing with this.

God has done His part,
Creating the sun and hanging it up high to provide the Earth with life,
Whether we enjoy its vivifying rays or go down with rickets is up to us,
Taking it deeper, we equally self-inflict ourselves with spiritual rickets when we hide from the Sun of Righteousness!

God has done His part,
Creating people designed to be a perfect match for each of us,
Whether we cleave unto the one God intended for us is up to us,
But the pain of not cleaving as is required cannot be postponed when we have earned it.

God has done His part,
Attaching a blessing to drinking from one’s own cistern,
Whether we drink from our own or create strange cisterns is up to us,
But there is no life in all those broken cisterns that cannot hold water,

God has done His part,
Endowing each of us with special talents and abilities,
Whether we make a profit or failure from these talents is up to us,
Only remember to expect nothing if your talent is buried under the soil.

God has done His part,
Granting us a space in His vineyard to grow and bear fruits,
Whether we will make good use of the tendered garden and grow fruits is up to us,
Otherwise, why would God keep us still in the vineyard if, at best, we are akin to the unfruitful fig tree?

God has done His part,
Creating mankind with a vital force that can withstand years of degeneration and succession of falls,
Whether we renew our half-life is up to us,
For if we disconnect ourselves from Him, who is the fountain of life, how else can we live?

God has done His part. Will you do yours? This is the question everyone has to answer between the date of their birth and burial.
