Your Time Is Coming

Your time is coming,
Like the joy which cometh in the morning,
You know well the vastness of the tarrying time,
Everything seems to be detouring away from the dime,
But is it not worth everything to wait long,
Than, rushing into a rendezvous of coquetry, only to marry wrong,

So your time is coming,
Though it does so crawling,
You are only safe to let it arrive,
So you can thrive,

Think of Men and Women who have had to learn the art of patience,
With everything not aligned in obvious sequence,
Think of Abe, waiting forever to sit on the top seat of the land of the brave and free,
Like a sagacious woodcutter, he got his axe ready and couldn’t be intimidated by any tree,

How old are you?
Have you endured like a European yew?
Maybe you have yet to see how it feels to celebrate a thirtieth birthday,
Then you need to relax and continue arranging your hay,

Think of the man who had to wait thirty and eight years by the pool,
Missing the coveted first spot every time, acting the part of a fool,
If you are anything below thirty-eight,
You should remain quiet,
From your birthday, someone has been seeking one thing,
You live and get granted full risks and privileges of adulthood, and he will still cling,
And you are ranting that you have waited long, these few weeks after graduation?
Calm down and forget the duration,

Is someone you consider a peer flying home as you drive?
Is someone you grew up with introducing baby and babe in their speaking engagements?
Is someone you struggled with finding ‘better friends’ and severing your clique?
Is anything just going too slow like you do sometimes and catch up with jokes when everyone else has stopped laughing?

Don’t fidget or twitch,
Your time is coming, and when it comes, it will break protocols,
But surprisingly, it won’t be too early nor too late,
Like the purposes of the Omnipotent God,
Which knows no haste nor delay,
What is yours will be right on time.

But like the stars in the vast circuit of their appointed path, God’s purposes know no haste and no delay
