What Is the Fate of Our World? Exploring Doomsday Theories

What do you think is the fate of our World? What is lying at the end of the story? Have you ever thought there would be a final date for this world? How prepared are you for the Earth’s dying Day if it is there?

What if it is there, and yet you live under the mantra that there is nothing like that? How will it be for you if it comes out there is the earth’s last day, the doomsday?

Thinking about the last day on earth is a thought that many have thought about. Movies, novels, and video games have been made in desperate attempts to explain the mysteries of the last days. Maybe, you were looking for the same when you stamped this article.

What do people say about Earth’s Last Day? I found some interesting opinions from an article, “When Will Be The Last Day On Earth? How to Survive, Myth & Science Behind It”, posted on the website Earth Reminder for Everyone.” Many opinions are trying to respond to the question: “When Will Be The Last Day On Earth?”

  1. Stephen Hawking Assumption

Stephen Hawking is a former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. One day, while lecturing at Oxford University, Stephen Hawking made a significant statement. He said he was expecting a disaster in the next few thousand years. His assertion can be summarised as follows: “Although there is less chance of a disaster to planet Earth in a given year, the risk will accumulate. Over time, it will become a near certainty in the next 1000 or 10,000 years.” You can see his exclusive interview with BBC, ‘AI could spell the end of the human race.

  1. World Wildlife Fund

According to a study by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), humans have already destroyed one-third of the natural world. This destruction was in pursuit of ends such as colonisation or industrialisation. They further postulate that because consumption rates are unexpectedly high, the planet could be unsustainable. This situation might lead to the destruction of this planet. Ultimately, it could cause the “loss of the human race”.

  1. The Sun Heat would Destroy the Earth

On the 20th of September 2013, Will Smith claimed that the sun would start having a lack of hydrogen fuel. Then it would expand until it swallowed the first planet, Mercury. Following that, it would consume the second planet, Venus. After taking these planets, the sun would invade the earth’s orbit.

The heat that Earth would experience at that time would lead to the evaporation of Earth’s water, making it a deserted area. Without water, the human race would degrade and eventually die because of thirst and heat. This would lead to the desertification of Earth and the end of human life.

  1. Planet Nibiru Might Collide

According to this theory, Aliens are assumed to live on a planet called Nibiru. It is a mystery planet which created a human case. It is assumed that Niburu collided with a planet called Tiamat, which was situated between Mars and Jupiter and resulted in the creation of the asteroid belt and the planet Earth. It is predicted that it has been wandering around since then and caught by many sights. It is again assumed to hit the earth. Just like it created the earth, it is the only one which would end it.

5. Myths and Dates

Outside of these opinions, there are many stories and myths from different cultures and traditions. We have prophets who keep on giving and adjusting dates for the end of the world. We have heard them everywhere. A good example is the Mayan Apocalypse dating December 21, 2012, as the earth’s doomsday.

After analysing various stories and scholarly views about the last days, a few things emerge:

  • The world’s future is hopeless and uncertain.
  • The world is in the hands of man, and man can hurry or delay the doomsday
  • There is no judgement or a Day of final reckoning
  • We are on our own; God is not part of the story.

Listening to these opinions leaves one drained and afraid of the future. Foreboding and despondency can affect our peace in this turbulent and shaky world.

So what else is left for us?

I don’t know about you. As for me and my house, I will ask God what the future has in store for us.

6. The Bible

The Bible presents a God who is in charge and on the throne. The earth has lost its pristine beauty due to the fall of Adam and the succession of false and sin added to sin. The murder of Cain and the Deluge during Noah’s generation added to the demolition of the earth’s original beauty.

Subsequently, until our day, we have felt the growing pains resulting from our own doing. We are hoisted by our own petard.

Here are the bare facts:

The Lord’s curse is upon the earth, upon man, upon beast, upon the fish in the sea, and as transgression becomes almost universal, the curse will be permitted to become as broad and as deep as the transgression.

To a Bible believer, what the world thinks of as doomsday is actually a great emancipation from a sin-sick sin-soaked world. The wickedness of evil men and the silence of the presumed good men is making the World unsafe from time to time. So Christ’s second coming is good news.

While the sin-loving hearts are afraid and trembling—and they should be afraid—those who love the Lord Jesus Christ are yearningly looking forward to the Coming King.

When the sinner and the infidel are worried about wealth and power created through unfair and fraudulent means, a true Christian looks forward to a day of final reckoning. Justice will be served as they face the justice of God hidden behind the righteousness of Christ. I Pity the Infidel

For a Bible-believing human being, this is what the last day looks like:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [John 14:1-3]
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. [KJV Matthew 28:18-20]
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts [KJV Malachi 4:1-3]

“Satan, the root of every sin, and all evil workers, who are his branches, shall be utterly cut off. An end will be made of sin, with all the woe and ruin that have resulted from it. Says the psalmist, “Thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name forever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end.” Psalm 9:5, 6.

According to the Bible, our world is destined for judgement. Everything touched by sin must come to an end. To the saints, it’s a blessed hope, to the rebellious, it is a countdown to catastrophe.

Which of these views gives hope and dependable direction?

  1. Great stuff Ossie👍👍. If only we took time to discovered the trajectory of the world while considering the past and the present, then the world would have been a better place even amidst the wait.

  2. Signs of the times
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
