I still love beautiful things.

I have had it rough and bumpy,
The highway screeching and screaming,
But I still love beautiful things,
I will hold on to the steering wheel a little while,
For I can’t give up hope,
Giving up is too costly for me.

The journey looks endless,
The horizon keeps stretching further,
But I still love beautiful things,
And as far as it takes, I will go,
Braving every new ‘we’re almost home’,
In the journey to the promised land.

The past is dark and bleak,
I’m tempted to click the backspace,
The present is shaky,
My soul is afraid,
But I still love beautiful things,
So I am going all in.

You know it better than I can narrate it,
That I have have been announced and denounced,
So you think I may need to lower my expectations,
And settle for anyone who admires me,
But I’m sorry, I still love beautiful things,
I’m going straight for the dime piece ☺️.

The last time I tried the bargain,
The prices crowded me out,
So you suggest that I take your gift,
And endure all the disrespect it comes along with,
But you seem to forget that I still love beautiful things,
I refuse to tarry long in spaces I’m not celebrated.

I’ve stumbled seven times in my spiritual walk,
You’ve declared me a hypocrite,
Because unlike you, I tremble and run back to Calvary,
But what comfort comes with being outright in the path of destruction?
I still believe in beautiful things; heaven is a beautiful place,
Yet some find such appreciation in neon-lit hell holes,
But I’ve fixed my mind on another time and place.

So when you see me raising the standard,
Don’t worry about me,
I’m not just going to eat whatever there is on the table,
But the good of the land,
For I still love beautiful things,
And to gain it, is worth crucifying self and every idol for.

I still love beautiful things, so I’m launching into the deep waters.

  9. It’s within the provisions of the human ken to see beautiful things. Remember to always appreciate the beauty before complimenting nobody hates that.

  24. Last week through this week I Was about to settle for less just because it has presented itself then i asked myself at what cost? The Mission was aborted quickly in a twinkle of a Finger 😊…i know i deserve beautiful things and better 😂😂, Thank you for the wonderful Piece
